Frequently Asked Questions

We specialize in grief, PTSD and C-PTSD, and traumatic grief. We also specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community.
Grief is all around us. We grieve the deaths of our loved ones. We grieve the childhood we deserved and didn’t have. We grieve versions of the future that have been taken from us. Every one of us will grieve in our lives, and when it becomes overwhelming and starts to impact your day-to-day life, we are here to help.
Trauma also shows up in many of our lives in different forms. Whether through easily identifiable traumatic events, long periods of instability and chaos, or lifetimes of systemic oppression, a qualified mental health professional can help you take back control of your own life.

For individual counseling, we work primarily with adolescents and adults. Family counseling is available for families of any age and children under the age of 13.
Individual counseling may be an option for children under the age of 13, but because of their developmental level, family therapy is often a more effective strategy.
Please reach out for consultation if you have questions.

Often we don’t know why we need therapy, we just know something is off, or we can’t go on like this anymore.
If you feel like it’s hard to concentrate, you are often anxious or hypervigilant, you feel hopeless, have a hard time trusting others, don’t enjoy the things you used to, and struggle to feel safe, it may be time to talk to a therapist.
Our top priority is helping you feel safe and in control of the therapeutic process. Our therapists will work with you to ensure that you are getting what you need out of this at a pace that feels right to you.
If you still aren’t sure if therapy is what you need right now, feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can answer any questions you have.
