A therapist who gets you
Grace O’Leary, LCSW, MT-BC, CT
I’m not here to fix you, I’m here to help you live more fully as your true self. That means honoring the dark and light parts of life, and giving space to all of the parts of you, even the ones you don’t like very much. The goal isn’t to have a perfect life, it’s to learn to love the life you have. That means feeling our emotions, understanding ourselves and accepting every piece of our story so we can find real peace.
But I don’t want to talk about my feelings
We don’t have to! Sometimes music, art and creativity speak more clearly than we can. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and music therapist who uses a mix of expressive arts, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and humanistic therapy to find what’s right for every client.
I’ve been a therapist since 2017, and have had the incredible honor of learning from each person I have worked with. I’m always trying to get better, and love that I now get to supervise other therapists and present in my community so we can all grow together.
I’m also a person who loves my little family with my partner and our two rescue dogs, spends a lot of time playing video games, and I tries to laugh whenever I can.
What do all those letters after your name mean?
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I care about all of you, not just what’s happening in your head. Everything belongs in my therapy room; talking about relationships, culture, health, society, whatever is impacting you. I believe that all of it matters.
Music Therapist - Board Certified
Sometimes words just don’t cover it. You know that song that perfectly explains how you are feeling? Bring it to therapy. Do you make music? Let’s talk about your creative process. Never picked up an instrument in your life but just feel like music is your go-to coping tool? Great! Let’s use that and take it a step farther. Music is something that impacts all of us, I know how to turn it into a therapeutic tool.
Certified Thanatologist
The Certified Thanatologist (CT) credential is awarded by the Association for Death Education and Counseling and signifies that I have completed the necessary clinical experience, education, and credentialing exam to be recognized as a specialist in death, dying, and bereavement. Essentially, I know a lot about death and grief.
